An adaptable and high-performance elastomer ring

O-Rings

What are o-rings?

An O-Ring is a circular elastomer ring used as a seal.
They are designed to be inserted into special housings and be compressed during the assembly of two or more parts, creating a seal in the joining elements preventing or limiting fluid and/or gas leaks.

Uses of O-rings

Thanks to their ease of use, they are used in many application fields. Each sector and each application field the development of a specific compound formulated to ensure adeguate chemical-physical and mechanical properties of O-Rings and gaskets: resistance to traction, pressure, wear, sudden changes and the most diverse temperature ranges, specific chemicals, corrosive agents, gases.

Features

To choose the right O-ring there are a series of parameters to choose from:

  • MATERIAL (FKM, FFKM, EPDM, VMQ, FVMQ…)
  • DIAMETER in mm Ø [d1]
  • CORD in mm Ø [d2]
  • COLOUR (green, black, blue, yellow, red, white, brown…)
  • HARDNESS in m IRHD
  • TEMPERATURE RANGE (-10 °C + 200°C, -50°C + 200°C…)
  • CONFORMITY and CERTIFICATIONS (RGD, FDA, hydrogen contact, drinking water contact…)
