VITON Extreme ETP
What are VITON Extreme ETP gaskets?
Viton™ Extreme™ is a copolymer of ethylene, tetrafluoroethylene (TFE), and perfluoromethylvinylether (PMVE). This unique combination of monomers provides exceptional resistance to aggressive fluids.
Unlike traditional fluoroelastomers, it offers excellent resistance to low molecular weight esters, ketones, and aldehydes. Additionally, Viton™ Extreme™ is inherently resistant to attack by high pH fluids and base materials. Viton™ Extreme™ fluoroelastomers do not swell or lose their elastomeric properties in highly caustic solutions and amines.
Features and Benefits
Viton™ Extreme™ combines the thermal resistance of Viton™ fluoroelastomers with unique chemical and environmental resistance that is superior to the capabilities of conventional fluoroelastomers.
Key benefits of using Viton™ Extreme™ fluoroelastomer include:
- Excellent resistance to acids, hydrocarbons, low molecular weight esters, ketones and aldehydes.
- Inherent resistance to base attack and low volume changes in highly caustic solutions, amines and hot water.
- Low temperature flexibility
- Compression set and properties physical to improve sealing performance
- Improved mold flow, faster cure rates, and improved mold release and fouling for efficient production.
